ATA: The KEBE calls on the trade union movement and the government to return to negotiations

The employers called on the trade union movement and the government to return to negotiations on the ATA, confirming the unanimous decision to reject the framework agreement.

As mentioned in a statement after an extraordinary session of the executive committee of the KEBE, the framework was not accepted because it should take into account the repeated recommendations of the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank and modernize the ATA institution, be scalable for the benefit of the low paid and not create inflationary trends.

The KEBE calls on the government and the Trade Union Movement to come back to the table in a constructive spirit to find an agreement for the benefit of the economy and the low paid, with safeguards that ensure the prosperity and development of the country.

It is emphasized that the announcement is in full consultation with the OEB leadership.
