People: Actor Jonathan Bailey the sexiest man alive for 2025

Wicked star Jonathan Bailey is People's Sexiest Man Alive 2025.

The choice of the magazine was announced on Monday night on the famous talk-show, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". Bailey takes over from "The Office" and "Jack Ryan" star John Krasinski.

He made his entrance on Jimmy Fallon's set in front of a giant People cover featuring his photo, declaring it "the ultimate honor" to be 2025's Sexiest Man Alive.

"I'm thrilled that People magazine has decided to bestow this honor on someone who can truly appreciate the value of a sexy man," he continued with a smile.

It is worth noting that Bailey wowed audiences as Prince Fiyero in his 2024 film debut with 'Wicked'. He will also star in the second part of the film, which is expected in Greek theaters on November 20.

He also charmed as Lord Anthony Bridgerton in the beloved Netflix series "Bridgerton," and received an Emmy nomination for his role in the Showtime series, "Fellow Travelers." Most recently, he starred in "Jurassic World Rebirth," which hit theaters in July.

He revealed that he knew he wanted to be an actor from the age of 5, when his grandmother took him to see the musical 'Oliver'. Two years later, he had already realized his dream, participating in productions of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

It is noted that the first star to win the prestigious People magazine title was Mel Gibson in 1985, followed by John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, David Beckham, Paul Rudd, Pierce Brosnan and Patrick Dempsey, among others.

Bailey, who will appear on the cover of the magazine's new issue on Friday, had to keep the news a secret. However, he admitted to sharing her with his dog, Benson, who will also appear, according to the AP.
