An unforeseen incident occurred aboard a passenger aircraft, which was traveling from Edinburgh to Larnaca.
On Sunday, May 11, the aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at the international airport of the city of Salonika (Macedonia) due to inadequate behavior of one of the passengers.
According to the Athenian news agency, a 38-year-old man, a citizen of a foreign state, began to behave aggressively: he ignored the instructions of the captain and crew members, and also entered a verbal skirmish, during which he offended the flight attendant and one of the passengers. His behavior created a threat to security and violated public order on board.
After landing the aircraft in Thessaloniki, the offender was detained by police officers directly at the airport. His arrest was made by representatives of the police department of the State Airport "Macedonia".
According to the protocol, the man is threatened with accusations of disobedience to the legal orders of the crew and violation of public order in transport. The investigation continues, the passenger may also be a ban on flights by certain airlines.
The incident led to a flight delay and caused inconvenience to the rest of the passengers, however, according to the airline, the safety of the flight was not at risk due to the professional action of the crew.
