Today they are 80 years since the casting of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima.
The dumping of the bomb by the United States caused 140,000 people and has speeded up the end of World War II.
One minute silence was held today in Hiroshima, during an annual ceremony, with the participation of representatives from one hundred countries.
In a speech, the Mayor of Hiroshima pointed out that the United States and Russia hold 90 percent of nuclear heads.
He added that unfortunately some leaders accept the idea that nuclear weapons are essential for their national defense, defying the lessons that the international community should have drawn from the tragedies of history.
