About the complaints of travelers trying to leave at night from the airports of Larnaki and Paphos by taxi. Tourists are shocked by clearly high prices.

According to a woman with children, the taxi driver requested 300 euros for a trip from Larnaki Airport to one of the nearby villages. He stated that the buses would begin to walk at six in the morning, and a little later he threw off the price of up to 200 euros. The woman refused and resulted in a bus she needed near the arrival terminal.

Foreign tourists who arrive at night at Paphos Airport said that taxi drivers were asking for a trip to the city from 70 to 80 euros. Public transport does not function at this time.

Recall that on March 1, 2021, new tariffs were introduced in Cyprus

On a taxi trip to the airports of Larnaki and Paphos and vice versa. Of course, the final price depends on the mileage, but it cannot be much larger than the base. The Ministry of Transport assured that the innovation "will increase the level of trust in a taxi and increase passenger traffic."

The day tariff is valid from 6:00 to 20:30, the night - from 20:30 to 6:00.
