2012 showed that nothing is impossible if a friendly team in love with his business is taken up for business. We first arranged a real Shrovetide, conducted a “studs on the stilettos”, painted hundreds of nesting dolls, opened the “Russian village”, brought business seminars beyond Cyprus, established partnerships with regional authorities in several countries-and completed all this with a huge Christmas village with carousels, a concert hall and ... a real helicopter at which Santa Claus flew. 5,000 people came to see his profit! It was a year of large -scale events and impudent ideas that have come true.
The first Shrovetide - with pancakes, songs and in the parking lot
Under the auspices of the "Herald of Cyprus" in Limassol, Maslenitsa was first widely celebrated. We agreed with the MALL shopping center and in their parking lot we arranged a big noisy holiday.
Celebrating Shrovetide "Studs", nesting dolls and two villages
Within the framework of the Cyprus-Russian festival, the first “Stilesteps” in the history of Cyprus was held-an event that had great success among participants and spectators. In the same year, we came up with the competition “Color the Matryoshka”, as well as the “Cyprus Village” and “Russian Village”-two projects, which allowed the inhabitants of Cyprus-two projects that allowed the traditions of both countries during the Cyprus-Russian festival during the Cyprus-Russian festival.
Economic diplomacy (although we have not yet known such words)
In April, a large -scale business reception was organized at the Russian Embassy in Cyprus in honor of the first birthday of the Successful Business magazine. Continuing the development of international cooperation, the magazine that year organized a series of business visits and seminars in Russian Krasnoyarsk and Surgut and the business conference in Almaty (Kazakhstan). Then, Cyprus businessmen went to establish ties on Ukraine-in September, a successful business magazine organized a large business forum in Odessa. At our invitation to him, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus and the chairman of the CIPA state investment agency went with us.
We organized trips with the support of municipal and regional structures. It was important for us that the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the City Hall of Surgut or the administration of the Odessa region adopted members of our delegation, helped us to collect interested business representatives, and patronized the development of relations with Cyprus.
Christmas fairy tale - 10,000 square meters
At the end of the year, for the first time in Cyprus, we organized a large Christmas village. On an area of 10,000 m², tents, tents, carousels were installed, a concert hall was built. Every day the program included a dozen small events and one or two large.
The most difficult thing in terms of organization-and gathered 5,000 spectators-was the arrival of Santa Claus in the village of Santa Klaus in a real military helicopter. The mayor of Hermasyoi Andreas Gavrielidis agreed to plant a military helicopter about this almost impossible venture - to plant a military helicopter within the city. He put on Santa Claus costume and, having arrived in a helicopter, gave all the children gifts.
For 19 days at the fair it was crowded. Concerts, contests, exhibitions, competitions were held. On the night of January 1, hundreds of residents of Limassol gathered there to celebrate the New Year together.
