The Forest Department warns of high fire hazard in Cyprus. New rules for paying parking in Nicosia. Flights are resumed to Paphos from Israel. More than 10,500 schoolchildren are aimed at educational psychologists in Cyprus in the 2023–2024 academic year. Dozens of rescue towers on the beaches are left without staff.

-The Forestry Department in Cyprus is alarming due to the increased threat of forest fires due to prolonged drought and the accumulation of dry vegetation. Experts warn that the lack of regular clearing of forest areas and fire zones, as well as poor fire equipment, turn forests into “pyrotechnic capacities”, ready for the rapid spread of fire.

- From Monday, July 7, 2025, in a parking lot organized on the site of the former GSP stadium, a modern payment system with automatic scanning of license plates is introduced. The first 30 minutes of parking are free. Those who work nearby are available a monthly subscription for 60 euros. You can pay with a bank card on the road, receipts and notifications come immediately to the phone.

- After a 12 -day suspension of flights from Israel to Paphos, air communication has been restored: Ryanair already operates daily flights, and Israeli ARKIA, Airhaifa and others plan to launch regular routes in July. This is an important relief for the tourism industry: the Israeli market - the second largest for Cyprus - returns to the usual transference through pathos.

- In the 2023–2024 academic year, 10598 areas of students to psychologists were recorded in Cyprus, which is 1282 cases larger than the previous year (9316). This is not a one -time phenomenon: annually there is a stable increase in the number of such appeals.

- In Cyprus, in the midst of the tourist season, thirty rescue towers on the beaches are not equipped. The Ministry of the Interior and Regional Administrations regularly announce vacancies, but finding those who want to short -term contracts is not easy.
