Around nine o'clock on Tuesday evening, August 20, a 30-year-old tourist from the UK was found unconscious in a hotel room in Ayia Napa. He was taken by ambulance to the Central Hospital of the Free Territories of Famagusta (in Paralimni), where doctors were forced to declare death.
An autopsy performed on August 21 did not help determine the cause of death. According to Phileleftheros' police sources, there are testimonies from the victim's friends that the 30-year-old man drank a large amount of alcohol in the company of his compatriots on Tuesday morning.
