At about 2:45 a.m. on September 3, at a Nicosia school, two hooded young men entered the school grounds and painted slogans on the walls of the building. Police are treating the incident as an act of vandalism.
Police officers arriving at the scene noticed two suspicious individuals leaving the fenced area of the school. During the arrest, three containers of paint, paint rollers and three dozen eggs were found in their possession.
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old resident of Nicosia were detained. During an inspection of the school, police discovered that slogans had been painted on the walls of the building.
The young people were taken to the police station, where they were questioned and then released, awaiting further summons to participate in the investigation. The case is being investigated by the Agios Dometios police station.
