On the morning of September 3, a serious traffic accident occurred in Limassol, resulting in the death of a cyclist.
According to the police, the incident occurred at 08:00 at the intersection of Ezopou and Papaioannou streets in the Ipsonas district.
The head of the Limassol traffic police, Marios Charalambous, said that a man of Asian origin was found dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the man was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene. The police are currently making efforts to identify the deceased and search for the vehicle and its driver.
Limassol Police are appealing to members of the public to report any information that may assist in the investigation by calling 1460 or the nearest police station.
