Pensioners were robbed at knifepoint in Limassol

In the early morning of June 5, a robbery took place in Limassol. Three unknown men, putting on hoods, crept into the pensioners' house and, threatening them with knives, demanded that they give them all the money.

According to police, the robbery took place at 2.20 am local time in Agia Fyla.

The elderly couple, aged 83 and 80, were sleeping in their bedroom, unaware, when the intruders sneaked straight into their room and began brandishing knives.

The men, believed to be of Arab or Asian origin, openly threatened the lives of defenseless, frightened elderly people, took cash from them in the amount of 1,500 euros, and then fled the scene of the crime unhindered.

Police officers responding to the scene reported that three men entered through the kitchen door, opening it with a key taken from a car in an unlocked garage.

The criminals also took the wallet of a pensioner who was in the car, which contained bank cards and a small amount of cash.

According to preliminary descriptions, the attackers have a normal build, are between 20 and 25 years old, and are of Arab or Asian descent. The police are now searching for them.
