The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Cyprus announced the opening of the site for registration of citizens who suffered from a recent fire in Limasol, in a computerized payment system of the Main Control and Avision Directorate (FIMAS). This system will ensure timely payment of compensation to the victims.
The Limasol district administration has already sent the forms of authorization to the public councils of injured communities. Citizens whose houses and property were damaged or destroyed by fire are invited to fill out the appropriate form in the coming days. To complete the registration, it is also necessary to provide a copy of the bank account or IBAN certificate, where compensation payments will be credited.
Followed documents should be sent to the email address fimas@treasury.gov.cy can be made both from the personal email address and from the email address of the public council or the mayor of the community.
The report also clarifies that persons who already receive benefits to support the inhabitants of mining communities or had previous operations with the state are automatically registered in the system and are not required to take additional actions.
