The 68-year-old resident of Larnaki stole 4500 euros

The 68-year-old resident of Larnaki stole 4500 euros

On Sunday, February 23, eight o’clock in the evening, closing his retail store, a 68-year-old man took money from the cash register and turned off the light. The next minutes were terrifying. As soon as he locked the door of the room, he was attacked by a man in a hood.

According to Panayot Panayot Public Relations Officer Andreu, "when a man tried to get into his car, an unknown man in a hood attacked him, tumbled down on the ground and took a bag from him, in which there were 4,500 euros." As you know, a 68-year-old man recently underwent heart surgery. Fortunately, during the attack, he did not receive serious injuries.

The police believe that the ruthless robber has been following the victim for some time and acted according to a pre -drawn up plan. The current evidence indicates that the offender, apparently, had an accomplice who was waiting for him.

In connection with the increasing robberies in Larnac, the local police strengthened the patrol of the city. In many places, cameras were installed that help to stop such a phenomenon as theft and hacks performed by gangs.
