PD: Transfer to Egypt for Gaza Reconstruction Summit

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, goes to Egypt tomorrow to attend the Gaza rebuilding meeting, having a specific design that he will present and includes the participation of Cypriot companies in an effort to rebuild the area.

In his statements to media representatives after the memorial of the Sarandi community, the president said he spoke yesterday with the President of Egypt, the Prime Minister of Israel, the President of the European Council and will speak today with the President of the United Arab Emirates.

President Christodoulides addressed public thanks to US President Donald Trump, as well as Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al -Sisi for inviting our country.

The president said that only 22 countries would attend tomorrow, along with institutions and therefore considers the invitation to recognize the role of the Republic of Cyprus in the region.
