Only thanks to the operational actions of the doctors of the Limassol hospital, an elderly couple (66 and 62 years) was saved from deadly poisoning with carbon monoxide.
The press secretary of the State Health Organization of the Republic of Cyprus (Okypy) Haralambos Harilau said that a relative of the victims, who already found them unconscious, called the ambulance. Later it turned out that the couple rolled the street heater into the house and turned it on to the full, which led to the accumulation of deadly gas in the room.
The attendants officially identified the cause of poisoning and urgently transferred the victims to the baroque in Paphos. After three -hour therapy, the couple came into consciousness, and the next day they were discharged from the hospital.
Mr. Harilau warned the residents of the mortal danger of using open fire in impenetrable premises, calling for caution in the cold season.
