The pedestrian bridge connecting archaeological monuments in Kato Paphos helped popularize the historical place. Previously, it remained in the shadows for a long time due to more popular locations.
We are talking about a hill factory, inside which there is a system of caves. This unique space in 2023 was included in the tourist route, mainly due to the opening of the pedestrian bridge.
The bridge takes place at an altitude of five meters above the ground and crosses the avenue to the apostle Paul, leading to the city port. The length of the overpass is 400 meters. Visitors can take a walk along it from the eastern edge of Kato Paphos to the western. One end of the bridge is located at the Roman Hotel, the other is a factory on the hill.

Hill Factory, which experts call the little -known treasure of pathos, plays an important role in the project of the unification of archaeological monuments of the city. Architect Yannis Kutsumbros explains that the bridge connects archaeological monuments on both sides of the avenue to the apostle Paul and restores the unity of the archaeological finds of the ancient era. It provides unhindered access to the general public and people with disabilities.
For many years, the Factory Hill was a place of excavations held by the Archaeological Mission of the University of Avignon in cooperation with the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus. It was in this area that several years ago the opening of the Hellenistic Theater, the largest and best surviving theater of this period in the entire Greek -speaking space, was committed.
From other important finds of archaeologists, we know that the Hill Factory was a very important quarter of the ancient city, which included buildings and basic infrastructure projects, such as water supply facilities. In 2015, scientists of the Department of Antiquities carried out work on the restoration and preservation of the ruins of the Roman villa here.
