A fellow Cypriot was in luck, as he emerged the sole winner of the OPAP Joker draw held on November 6, 2025.
The lucky local player truly struck gold. Having submitted his €10 ticket at Andreas Stylianou’s agency in Lakatamia, his chosen numbers of 25, 33, 36, 38, 41, with Joker number 12, earned him €3,221,064.72. This amount exceeded the standard first-category 5+1 prize of €2,321,060.00, as his ticket also produced nine additional wins in the second category (five-number matches), each worth €100,000.
The largest sum ever won by a Cypriot Joker player was €16,428,349.89, in February 2017.
Once again, the Joker draw has turned ordinary people into millionaires. Over the past 22 years, Cypriot players collectively have won approximately €2.5 billion from OPAP games.
Meanwhile, the State also benefits, via taxation of winnings. Notably, for the prize won by the November 6, 2025 draw winner alone, the tax amounts to €643,212.94.
