On Monday, January 30, a man was shot in the face while hunting near the villages of Eptakomi and Galatea on the Karpas Peninsula.
44-year-old Akar Tezer was “hit in the face and various parts of the body with pellets,” the shots were fired by “unknown hunters located in the area.” Tezer was taken to the Famagusta public hospital in northern Cyprus, where he remains under observation.
The investigation into the case continues.
