This reduced the number of people. At the same time, candidates are offered a good salary, and new standards will provide more qualified protection on the beaches.

- Cyprus plans to invite Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to a regional summit in the Middle East as part of his chairmanship in the EU in April 2026. Despite the long -standing conflict and section of the island since 1974, President Nicos Khristodulidis noted that “Türkiye will always be a neighbor,” and its participation can help strengthen the dialogue.

- The unions of teachers called for an urgent meeting with President Nicos Christodulidis due to delays with the implementation of an agreement on constant teaching rates. In the absence of progress in the negotiation process, trade unions reserve the right to strike.
