The President of the Pan-Cyprus Butchers Association, Costas Livadiotis, said on Sigma TV that a typical buyer leaves 18-19 euros at the butcher shop. According to him, 10 years ago the average bill was 10 euros, and five years ago - 14 euros. At the same time, the amount of meat purchased remained virtually unchanged. “The Cypriot is a meat eater; he eats about 100 kg of meat per year,” stated Mr. Livadiotis.
