The majority of young people are not registered in the electoral rolls

Almost 160,100 citizens over the age of 18 have not been registered in the electoral roll, said the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Ellikos Ilias.

For the ages 18 to 25, the percentage of unregistered is 52.6%.

Mr. Ilias made statements after a meeting with the representatives of the political parties, during which he provided an update on the preparations regarding the Parliamentary elections.

The last day to register in the electoral roll is April 2nd.

Hellikos Ilias said that the Parliament is expected to be dissolved on April 23, while the submission of nominations was set for May 6.

The elections will be held on the 24th of the same month.
