The coast of Cyprus is always a kaleidoscope of contrasts. The color of the water here changes from transparent-turquoise in shallow water to deep indigo above the sea cavities. The calm surface of the long sandy beaches is replaced by waves that the white chalk cliffs and dark volcanic rocks beat with force.
It was these rocks, secluded bays and sea caves that became natural scenery for the myth of the birth of Aphrodite from foam.
This photo selection contains different states of the Cyprus Sea. From a calm in a pre -sunset hour, staining water in warm colors, to a bright semi -native sun, emphasizing its transparency. Each picture here is a fixed moment of interaction between water, light and coastal landscape.
This photo selection is part of a project of 30 articles dedicated to the anniversary of the "Herald of Cyprus", which is 30 years old this year.
