Annual increase of 5% in the weight of cargo transported by road to and from Cyprus

An annual increase of 5% was recorded during the period January-June 2025 in the weight of cargo transported by road to and from Cyprus.

According to the Statistical Service, during the period January-June 2025, the total weight of products transported by road within Cyprus showed an increase of 0.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2024, while the weight of cargo transported by road to and from Cyprus also increased by 5.0%.

A bulletin with the latest data on road freight transport for the second quarter of 2025 states that during the period April-June 2025, the total weight of goods transported by road within Cyprus increased by 0.5% compared to the corresponding period in 2024, while the weight of cargo transported by road to and from Cyprus also increased by 3.6%.
