Continuation of the electricity subsidy for both vulnerable groups and businesses until the end of 2026, the Council of Ministers decided during its meeting on Tuesday, as announced by the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos
"The permanent policy of the Government is to strengthen the incomes of citizens, especially vulnerable groups, and this is done in multiple ways and at various levels," he said, noting that the tax reform contributes to this, with the increase in tax-free income, as well as the decision to maintain zero VAT rates on products of daily use for households, young families and the elderly.
The Minister of Finance indicated that the subsidy for category 08 will continue, from which thousands of households and businesses benefit, as he said, ensuring a reduction in the final electricity bill.
