The business world is united and determined, declaring OEB and KEVE after the joint session, the first of their establishment, with the aim of finalizing strategic planning and coordinating their actions on the subject of ATA.
OEB and KEVE have decided that the universal application of ATA is out of debate but employer organizations are willing to discuss approach to evolving and modernizing it, adopting a mechanism that will take into account the health of the economy, protecting national competitiveness and maintaining financial stability.
They say that the employer side has made a major withdrawal from its firm position for the abolition of ATA, accepting in 2023 an increase in the rate from 50% to 66.7% for a transitional period.
OEB and KEVE, they want, as they say, want to safeguard the supreme good of labor peace, which is why they exclude the exercise of constitutionally guaranteed employer rights for the foreseeable future and tend to cooperate with trade unions and workers.
In the face of processes, they conclude, which were activated by President Christodoulides, will not currently make further announcements or public placements.
