AKEL: Calls the government to clarify its intentions for electrical interface

The impasses are deepened by the issue of electrical interconnection and the government owes clear answers, AKEL said in a statement.

He adds that Christodoulides statements that the Republic of Cyprus is "not blackmailed" have no real meaning, since he avoids clarifying what his government is and how he intends to proceed with the work of electric interconnection.

AKEL calls on the government to respond to the agreement providing for the payment of 125m euros to recover ADMIE's expenses, on terms of interruption of the project, whether it is economically viable and whether it will benefit the country and consumers.
