Only a year passed since the release of the first issue, but in 1996, the “Bulletin of Cyprus” began to change - and change quickly. The newspaper found new owners, began to expand and gradually become what readers used to see: a real weekly, in which there is a place for both news and life stories.
Read the article of the editor of the early “Herald of Cyprus” Mikhail Mironov about the Internet. But then, in 1996, the townsfolk already spoke about him, but few knew what it was - therefore, Mikhail teaches readers. From this article, training articles also appeared in the “Bulletin of Cyprus”, in each issue there is some useful information.
In January 1996, editor Mikhail began to write serious articles, and his wife Olga first published a review of fashion trends. "Bulletin of Cyprus" is now not only an advertising newspaper, but also a source of information.
In the same year, neophytos Georgiadis sold the newspaper to the Russians Mikhail Pisarev and Igor Nosonov. New owners decided to increase the number of lanes and introduce new headings. Gradually, in a weekly newspaper they began to publish interviews, reports from the places of events, essays on culture and the history of the island, sports news, readers' letters, recipes, humor, horoscopes, crosswords.
At the same time, competitors appeared in the newspaper - there were more and more Russian -speaking people in Cyprus, which means that new editions should have inevitably open.
Competition only attacked further development. In 1996, the "Bulletin of Cyprus" began to look for his voice - and his face. And although the circulation was still modest, it was then that the usual headings and topics that would remain with us began to form.
