Zelenski: The ceasefire in Gaza gives hope for peace in Ukraine

Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski today estimated that the ceasefire achieved in Gaza with Donald Trump's mediation would give "extra hope for peace" in Ukraine, where the American leader also aspires to play a role.

"When peace is achieved in one part of the world, this brings more hope for peace in other areas," Zelenski said in a post on Facebook. US President Donald Trump will meet Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski on Friday.

The two leaders also talked on Saturday and Sunday as Zelensky is pushing him to be given more US weapons to face Russian attacks.
