Iran sees the prospect of a positive outcome in the third round of talks with the United States

, said President Massoud Pezheskian, as an Iranian delegation left for Geneva to discuss Tehran's nuclear program. A senior US official said US special envoy Steve Witkoff and the US president's son-in-law Jared Kushner are set to meet on Thursday in Geneva with the Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The two countries earlier this month restarted negotiations over the long-disputed nuclear program as the US ramps up its military presence in the Middle East in anticipation of possible strikes against the Islamic Republic. Tehran has threatened to hit US bases in the region if attacked. On February 19, US President Donald Trump said he was giving Tehran about 10 to 15 days to reach a deal.
