Iran sees a positive outcome in the third round of talks with the US

Iran sees the prospect of a positive outcome in the third round of talks with the United States

, said President Massoud Pezheskian, as an Iranian delegation left for Geneva to discuss Tehran's nuclear program. A senior US official said US special envoy Steve Witkoff and the US president's son-in-law Jared Kushner are set to meet on Thursday in Geneva with the Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The two countries earlier this month restarted negotiations over the long-disputed nuclear program as the US ramps up its military presence in the Middle East in anticipation of possible strikes against the Islamic Republic.
