The final phase of the competition for the European Capital of Culture 2030 is organized by the Deputy Ministry of Culture, as the Administrative Authority, from 8 to 11 December.
In a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, it is noted that the group of experts appointed for the "European Capital of Culture 2030" Competition consists of Suvi Innilä, Else Christensen-Redzepovic, Jorge Cerveira Pinto, Erni Kask, Tanja Mlaker, Matthias Ripp, Anthony Attard, Jelle Burggraaff, Hrvoje Laurenta, Erni Kask, Athena Aristotelous Cleridou and Mario Ioannou Ilias.
Of the twelve members that make up the group, ten members are experts appointed by the European institutions and organizations (European Parliament, Council, Commission and Committee of the Regions), while the two members are Cypriot experts appointed by the Deputy Minister of Culture, in accordance with the relevant procedures and in consultation with the European Commission.
The group of experts is formed to carry out the selection and monitoring procedures of the competition. In this final phase of the competition, the team will choose one of the two finalist cities, which are Larnaca and Limassol, to be awarded the title of European Capital of Culture for the year 2030.
The announcement of the results will take place on December 11, 2025, at 12:30 pm. at the Deputy Ministry of Culture. The event will be broadcast live at the link: https://youtube.com/live/IeuDOcWaEhw?feature=share and at the Ministry of Culture's Ministry of Culture.
