On the evening of Wednesday, December 3, the EOA of Limassol held an informational meeting with the residents of Ypsonas Municipal Apartment, focusing on the imminent extension of the sewer network in the Municipality of Kouri.
The event took place in the Multi-Purpose Hall of Ypsonas High School, gathering a large participation of citizens. The President of EOA Limassol, Mr. Yiannis Tsouloftas, the General Manager, Mr. Sokratis Metaxas, the Mayor of Kouri, Mr. Pantelis Georgiou, the Vice-Mayor of Kouri, Ms. Aleka Stylianou, as well as Executives of the Organization were present.
The President of EOA Limassol informed the residents about the extension of the sewerage system in the Municipality of Kouri, the advantages of the new sewerage system, the method of calculating and charging the sewerage and rainwater fees, as well as the environmental and development benefits that will arise for the Municipality. He emphasized that the sewage system is a basic infrastructure project for every modern and developed society, contributing to the protection of public health, the improvement of the quality of life and the protection of the natural environment. Mr. Tsouloftas noted that the study and design of the project are already at an advanced stage, while construction work is scheduled to begin in 2027.
During the meeting, the President of the EOA of Limassol and the Mayor of Kouri answered citizens' questions, while Agency Officers provided on-site support for updating database information and resolving further queries.
