Five new ministers sworn in in Cyprus

On the morning of Monday, December 8, the oath ceremony of new members of the government took place at the presidential palace in Nicosia. The oaths of the five heads of ministries were taken by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, who is the head of the cabinet.

In the process of updating the government, one of the ministers, Michalis Damianos, changed the position of head of the Ministry of Health to the office of the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry. The remaining four - Neophytos Charalambidis, Marinos Moushioutas, Konstantinos Fitiris and Klea Hadjistephanou-Papaellina - are new to the government. Marios Hartsiotis, who headed the Ministry of Justice, was appointed special commissioner to the head of state.
