Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski urged his US counterpart, Donald Trump, negotiate peace in Ukraine after reaching an agreement on Gaza during a telephone conference.
He wrote on Facebook that "if a war can end in an area, then other wars can certainly be ended, including what is being waged by Russia".
Zelenski said he informed Donald Trump on Russia's attacks on his country's energy network, the day after one of the most severe Russian raids, which plunged hundreds of thousands of households in the dark and caused a 7 -year -old.
He said they discussed opportunities to boost Ukraine's air defense, without going into details.
"Must," he noted, "there should be a will on the Russian side in order to get involved in honest diplomacy."
