LIMESOS: Arrest of a 56-year-old man for stabbing a 68-year-old man

A 56-year-old man who allegedly injured a 68-year-old man with a knife after an argument between car drivers in Limassol is on trial.

According to the Police, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, while a 68-year-old man, who was in his parked car, got into a verbal confrontation with a 22-year-old driver of another vehicle.

During the confrontation, the 22-year-old's passenger allegedly got out of the vehicle and attacked the 68-year-old with a knife.

The 68-year-old was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Limassol, where it was found that he had suffered a crush injury to the abdominal wall and after receiving first aid, he was discharged.

Yesterday, Sunday, the driver was arrested with a judicial arrest warrant and after being accused in writing, she was released, to be summoned before a court.

The 56-year-old passenger was also arrested yesterday, pursuant to a court warrant, and was taken into custody to facilitate investigations.

He is expected to appear before a Court for a remand in relation to offenses involving the carrying of a knife and causing injury.

The District Court of Limassol issued a three-day detention order against a 56-year-old man, who allegedly injured a 68-year-old man with a knife, after an argument between car drivers.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, while the 68-year-old was in his parked car and got into a verbal confrontation with the 22-year-old driver of another parked car.

According to the data under investigation, the passenger of the 22-year-old allegedly got out of the vehicle and injured the 68-year-old with a knife, and then left the scene, together with the driver.

The two were arrested yesterday, Sunday, with the 56-year-old being brought before a court today, which ordered his detention for a period of three days.

The 22-year-old was accused in writing yesterday and was released to be summoned before a court later.
