The legal service announced this afternoon that a request to lift the parliamentary immunity of the former president of EDEK, MP Marinos Sizopoulos, was registered at the Supreme Court.
According to the announcement, the examination of the application was set for a hearing at the Supreme Constitutional Court, next Tuesday, March 3 at 12 noon.
The decision is based on the conclusion issued last September by the Anti-Corruption Authority.
The finding is reported as Marinos Sizopolyos was investigated for the commission of criminal offences, including fraud, forgery and preparation of a forged document, circulation of a forged document and conspiracy to commit extortion.
