To the Limassol police
appealed
A 36-year-old Greek Cypriot who reported the theft of his property, including a collectible gun. He was invited to the police station to give evidence. During the investigation, it turned out that the gun was stolen, and that he kept it in a vacant house, which he moved into without permission.
The case was solved thanks to the owner of the house. Neighbors told her that someone was illegally living in her house. She reported this to the police. The operatives who arrived to remove them came to the conclusion that the neighbors’ information was correct. Other people's belongings were found in the house: from electric bicycles and electric scooters to a collectible gun.
The police carried out an inventory of the “extra” property and confiscated it. In addition, they took fingerprints that apparently belonged to the illegal occupant of the house. Suddenly, the investigation accelerated. A Cypriot called the police and reported that his house had been broken into and that his gun and other personal belongings had been stolen.
At the police station, the man did not immediately admit that he had stolen them. It turned out that he was homeless and living in someone else's property. On October 23, the court left him under arrest for four days. Police are studying video camera footage. The British-made collectible gun will be sent for ballistic examination.
