At €2,476 the average gross monthly remuneration of employees in the 2nd quarter of 2025

The average gross monthly earnings of employees in the second quarter of 2025 increased by 4.2%, reaching €2,476, compared to €2,375 in the corresponding quarter of 2024, according to preliminary data published on Wednesday by the Statistical Service.

For the second quarter of 2025, there is an increase in seasonally adjusted average gross earnings compared to the first quarter of 2025 by 0.9%.

The average gross monthly earnings of men in the second quarter of 2025 are estimated at €2,656 and of women at €2,251. Compared to the second quarter of 2024, the average monthly earnings of men and women increased by 3.8% and 4.7% respectively.

According to the data published by the Statistical Service, 36.1% of employees receive gross monthly salaries below €1,500. 40% of employees receive between €1,501 and €2,999, 12.8% between €3,000-€4,499. Between €4,500-€5,999 is received by 6%, while over €6,000 is received by 5.1% of employees.
