Trade unions cannot remain and be an obstacle to development and progress, the Minister of Education said, commenting on teachers' reactions to the evaluation plan.
He noted that for 50 years the measure was stopped for some reasons, stressing that this tactic could not continue in 2025.
He made it clear that teachers' evaluation is not a punishment, but a way out for them, describing the bill as a contemporary proposal welcomed by the European Commission and based on bibliography.
Athena Michaelidou called on the MPs to discuss the government bill and any differences to be made in Parliament.
