A cold wave is hitting much of the United States, with heavy snowfall in the North and plummeting temperatures in many southern states.
Temperatures as low as twelve degrees below zero are being recorded in Michigan.
The thermometer shows sub-zero temperatures, both in Tennessee and Alabama.
The cold front is moving towards the Gulf of Mexico, which will cause a vertical drop in temperatures, from Chicago to Florida.
In Dakota and southern Minnesota, the height of the snow has already exceeded 40 cm.
In much of the American Midwest, the thermometer plunged from 15 to three degrees below zero.
