US proceed to sanctions for carbon dioxide

The US government has threatened to impose sanctions on any country voting in favor of imposing a carbon dioxide emissions on maritime transport within the international shipping organization, part of the UN system, denouncing a "neo -colonial".

For the US government, the financial consequences of the measure "could be devastating", as "some estimates" it citing, worldwide costs for marine transport can "increase an increase of 10% or more".
