The tripartite defense cooperation between Cyprus, Greece and Israel is being further strengthened, with joint aeronautical exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean, within 2026, Reuters reported.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Greece, senior military officials from the three countries signed a joint action plan for defense cooperation last week in Cyprus.
However, no further details were given.
Citing senior military sources in Athens, Reuters reports that the military agreement includes joint air and naval academies, as well as the transfer of expertise from Israel to Greece and Cyprus, to deal with both asymmetric and symmetric threats.
