Pedestrianization of Independence Street on New Year's Eve

The Municipality of Limassol, with the consent of the Chief of the Cyprus Police and in accordance with the Municipal Regulations of Limassol 2006 which refer to the regulation of traffic, as well as in the context of this year's New Year's Eve events, has decided to take the following regulatory measures on Wednesday 31 December 2025 from 21:30 until 02:00 on Thursday 1 January 2026: One-way construction of Anexartisias Street from its junction with the Pentadromou Traffic Lights to its junction with Vragadinou Street, with the northbound direction permitted. Pedestrian walk of Anexartisias Street from its junction with Vragadinou Street to its junction with Megalou Alexandrou Street. One-way of Anexartisias Street from its junction with Megalou Alexandrou Street to its junction with Athens Street, with the southerly direction permitted.

Appropriate measures will be taken for the uninterrupted use of the temporarily closed road network by the competent Services (Police, Fire and Ambulances) in emergency situations.

Violators of this notice are subject to the penalties provided for in the Law on Municipalities, as well as in the Limassol Municipal Regulations of 2006.
