Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchising company, gathered over 150 hotel partners, general managers and key suppliers from across the European region for the Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA) Executive Summit held in Copenhagen.
The event was held at Dolce by Wyndham Comwell Copenhagen Portside with the theme: 'Going Places? Navigating the Future of Travel”. The session focused on knowledge sharing and collaboration between hotels, managers, owners, key industry partners and Wyndham as a franchisor.
In his opening speech, Mr. Dimitris Manikis, EMEA President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, emphasized the importance of the EMEA region as a growth driver for the company and thanked the franchise partners for their trust in Wyndham's strong portfolio. Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Eurasia offer more diverse growth opportunities than ever before, which Wyndham seeks to explore in a collaborative manner.
The program included panel discussions and speeches exploring the future of the hospitality industry. Topics covered evolving market and consumer trends, changes in travel and booking habits, and the growing impact of technology, artificial intelligence and digitization. Speakers also discussed the commercial benefits of next-generation tools for revenue management, sales and marketing. In addition, sessions focused on enhancing guest engagement and service quality, using guest feedback for competitive advantage, and implementing best practice strategies to attract, develop and retain top talent.

The session concluded with networking events, a gala and the Wyndham EMEA Awards ceremony, recognizing achievements in categories such as 'General Manager of the Year', 'Hotel of the Year', 'Sustainable Hotel of the Year', 'Commercial Performance Award' and 'EMEA President's Award' for outstanding performance in people, community and development management.
