At around nine o'clock on the morning of Friday, October 17, in the Agios Athanasios area of Limassol, an attempt was made on the life of the 49-year-old president of the Karmiotissa football club, Stavros Dimosthenous.
According to Phileleftheros, the businessman was shot as he got into a car near his home. The businessman died in the car when his son was taking him to the hospital and had an accident in Polymidia. The highway is blocked by the police.
Meanwhile, a burning van was found in Germassoye, in which, according to preliminary police information, the killer and his accomplice were traveling. The connection between the two incidents has not yet been confirmed.
