Qatar's Foreign Ministry announced that Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire.
The decision was made during talks held in Doha, brokered by Qatar and Turkey.
In addition, Islamabad and Kabul agreed on the establishment of mechanisms to establish lasting peace and stability between the two countries.
In the coming days, Afghan and Pakistani delegations will have further contacts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire, contributing to the restoration of security and stability.
