The developments in the case of the murder of the businessman and football player, Stavros Demosthenos, on Friday morning in Limassol are fast-paced.
Last night, the police proceeded to arrest a 44-year-old former football player, for whom a relevant warrant had been issued, in the context of the investigation into the murder of Demosthenos.
This is the owner of the large displacement scooter that was spotted yesterday afternoon in Limassol and it is considered certain that it is the one with which the perpetrators escaped from the scene of the arson of the white van used in the murder.
The motorcycle was found hidden in a parking lot in the area of Agios Tychonas.
The police confirmed, yesterday, the existence of visual material, which records the perpetrators during their escape from the scene of the arson.
