Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the war with Hamas will end when the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which calls for the disarmament of the Palestinian group, is completed.
Speaking to "Channel 14", Netanyahu stressed that the demilitarization of Gaza must be preceded by the confiscation of Hamas' weapons, expressing the hope that this goal will be achieved in a simple way.
"When this effort is successfully completed, then the war will come to an end," the Israeli prime minister stressed.
At the same time, Benjamin Netanyahu - who is facing corruption charges - announced that he will seek another term as prime minister in the next election.
Today, the Vice President of the United States, Jay D. Vance, and the Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, are expected in Israel to discuss the implementation of the second phase of the Trump plan.
