On Monday, October 13, during a raid, the immigration police of the Republic of Cyprus identified 30 foreigners who were working illegally. They were detained and taken to the Episkopi police station.
During the inspection, it was revealed that five detainees were in the country illegally. They were left in custody awaiting deportation. Another 25 foreigners who worked illegally gave written testimony and were released.
The company manager who was their employer was detained. He will be charged with using illegal labor.
