So on February 1, an incident occurred, as a result of which a 28-year-old woman in serious condition was in the hospital. As a result, the doctors found that the victim used a small amount of jelly candies containing tetrahydrocannabinol and semi -synthetic cannabinoids. This incident has become one of a number of others recorded in the recent past due to the availability of such products in the Cyprus market.

Recently, a large batch of dangerous jelly was discovered in one of the Larnaki stores, and the owner was arrested. According to the deputy commander of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau, other drugs were also seized with jelly sweets as material evidence. A similar incident occurred in a kiosk in the same city, which increases the concern of the authorities, since these products are now available not only in specialized stores, but also at points of mass consumption.
“They also managed to identify on the Internet using various platforms,” he added.
Most of all, experts fear that these products are sold in the same form as ordinary yield sweets. Although their price is much higher - several tens of euros per package, the risk for young people who can purchase them is real.
“From 25 euros and can be larger, depending on the quantity. This is a specific substance, if it is used orally and it falls into the stomach, 33 times stronger than the usual cannabis, ”said Christ Andreu.
