An investigation is underway regarding the death of a six-year-old girl, who was hospitalized at Makarios Hospital.
In a statement from the Ministry of Health, it is emphasized that the results of specialized examinations are awaited, which will demonstrate the exact causes of the child's death. It is noted, in fact, that the Minister of Health has asked the OKYPY to immediately prepare a report of facts about the incident.
The Ministry assures that the investigation will be complete and that any evidence that emerges will be made public with due transparency.
He notes at the same time that, as a minimum sign of respect for the family of the child who lost his life, it is necessary to avoid premature conclusions, before the case is fully investigated.
"Such incidents should not be politically exploited," the statement said.
The Ministry of Health expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the six-year-old, noting that the loss of a child is an unspeakable tragedy.
